Having fun with your baby, on Long Island, without going broke! thinkinglikemommy@gmail.com

My son loves his pacifier but now that he's getting older, he loses them all of the time! It drives me crazy and I refuse to buy a pacifier clip because I plan on trying to take away the pacifier before he's a year old. The pacifiers that he loves are the ones made by MAM. At times they are on sale at Babies R' Us but if they're not, it's about $3 a pacifier. I never see coupons for them and have been buying a lot lately so I decided to call the 1 800 number on the back of the package to see if they have coupons. It turns out they did and the lovely MAM representative sent me 3 - $1 off coupons for any MAM product. Here are some 1 800 numbers that I called to ask for coupons.

I love spending time outdoors with my family but those rainy days can really be a killer! Now that I have an official "crawler" on my hands, I'm always searching for reasonably priced activities to do with my baby boy to keep him busy. I recently found Once Upon A Treetop in Plainview, NY. Below is a description:
From Bumbo seats to Pack and Plays, it seems that you can really fill up your entire house with all of the baby gear you think you need for your little one! I love anything that makes my life as a mom easier but I hate to spend so much money on an item that I'll only use for a short period of time. My Boppy was great for the first 6 months of my baby's life. Now it's tucked away in a nice little box until I have another baby. Don't get me wrong, I love my Boppy but if I had a nickel for every baby gear item that got tucked away after only a few months of use, I'd be loaded!

The Children's Place socks are my absolute favorite socks for babies and kids. When my son was first born, he used booties but they always ended up on the floor. When he was about 3 months old I bought him his first pair of "big boy" socks. The Children's Place sells "Place" Socks in many different colors. Below is the description -
A basic necessity that goes great with any outfit!
In a soft blend of cotton/polyester
With a touch of spandex for added stretch and a shape-keeping fit
Logo grippers on bottoms provide extra traction for sure-footed steps
Rib-knit elasticized triple-roll cuffs for stay-up style
Imported
The smallest size they have is 6-12 months but I put them on my tiny son at 3 months and he wore them under his pants as knee highs. I never had a problem with them falling off and I never had to worry about his feet getting cold. You can purchase 3 pairs for $6 but don't forget to print out a coupon before you go!

"As a working mother, the last thing on my mind when I'm trying to get my son out the door and to school on time is how I look. I still love clothes, but they just don't fit into my life the way they used to. For work, I get to dress up and somebody does my hair and makeup, and its like a little holiday for a few hours. But for everyday, it would be foolish to spend more time on my outfit than I do on my son." -Sarah Jessica Parker

Like many young women, I thought about my baby long before he was even born. I envisioned an angelic, cheerful, beautiful, olive skinned baby. Well I was right about the beautiful and cheerful part but the olive skin...not so much....more like pasty white! My beautiful, cheerful baby boy is as white as the snow! Needless to say, I'm a wreck when I have him out in the sun! Protect-A-Bub Compact Sunshade has made going for long walks on the boardwalk a little less stressful. Here is the description below:
