So today I'm going to share with you the best place, ever, Ocean City, N.J. This magical place has been voted one of America's Greatest Family Resort and boy is that the truth! It's on the Jersey Shore but don't let that turn you off! It's a dry town which keeps a lot of the party crowd out but don't worry, there are a few liquor stores right outside of the entrance to the town! There is a very clean beach, boardwalk with lots of shops, two small amusement parks with rides for little ones and adults, a water park with a lazy river, six slides and a pirate ship play area for the little buccaneers! I love it there in the summer but off season is my favorite because there are less crowds and the prices for your stay are much less. Don't be fooled by the name....these Gerber Graduates Puffs are wonderful for little ones. My pediatrician recommended I start giving them to my son when he was about 4 months old. He did this for two reasons 1 - Picking up the Puffs from his highchair was good for his eye hand coordination and 2 - It was good to have my son get used to different textures in his mouth. My son loved the sweet potato flavored ones and six months later they're a lifesaver because he eats them after he finishes every meal. A few extra minutes in the high chair gives me some time to get a thing or two done! Fisher Price is one of my favorite brands for baby gear and toys. Recently they created a new line of disposable diapers, Happy Days and Happy Nights. When Connor was about 7 months old, I would notice that after a long night's rest he would wake up with wet pajamas. The pink headband stayed on her head for the entire time and she didn't seem to notice or mind the headband being around her head. The Town of Brookhaven has a fabulous Ecology Site with an amazing Park & Animal Preserve. It is located in Holtsville, NY and the amenities include a triple pool complex, an exercise/trail fitness course, a nature preserve and ecology center, that features mountain lions & eagles, ecology exhibits, tours and a picnic area. The best part of this place is the zoo that is open from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., seven days a week. The cost for admission to the zoo is FREE! In previous posts I've spoken about my baby boy's lovely skin! It's pastey white, dry and is prone to eczema. When he was three months old, we're not sure exactly sure what caused it, but his skin was peeling off of his body. My amazing pediatrician recommended using CeraVe Moisturizing Cream two times a day. It's available at your local drug store and costs about $15.99 for a 16 oz. jar. It provides all-day moisturization and increases skin hydration. Obviously it costs more than your typical baby moisturizer but it is a product that I feel is worth every penny!

Did you know that there is a National Association of Mothers' Centers? They recognize the challenges, realities and value of being a mother. Their programs offer mothers and other caregivers a sense of camaraderie, peer support, empathy, information, and resources. I was so excited to find out that at certain locations they offer Mommy and Me classes at a low cost, as well as discounts for great places like Great Wolf Lodge for NAMC members. I love spending time outdoors with my family but those rainy days can really be a killer! Now that I have an official "crawler" on my hands, I'm always searching for reasonably priced activities to do with my baby boy to keep him busy. I recently found Once Upon A Treetop in Plainview, NY. Below is a description:

There is so much to do at Once Upon a Treetop, why stay home? Gather together a group of friends and come join us for some fun in our little city. Kids will have the opportunity to explore through interactive play and climb through our tree house play unit.
